You know what’s kind of beautiful?
In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”
I love that. “You are missing from me.” You are a part of me, you are essential to my being. You are like a limb, or an organ, or blood. I cannot function without you.
I want to write poetry but I wouldn’t show anything to anybody and when I die a tragic but beautiful death someone will find them all and I’ll be FAMOUS. I won’t care what people think of them because I’ll be DEAD.
Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull or boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve got unimaginable, magnificent, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands, maybe.

There is a certain unique and strange delight about walking down an empty street alone. There is an off-focus light cast by the moon, and the streetlights are part of the spotlight apparatus on a bare stage set up for you to walk through. You get a feeling of being listened to, so you talk aloud, softly, to see how it sounds.
